At what point in life does someone get a double extension ladder and think that is too short, so...

...gets a construction digger and puts the ladder in the bucket and raises it to the height he needs to work at. But...

...then realises that he can get into the bucket of the digger and gets another double extension ladder leading to the bucket of digger with the first ladder inside of it! 

Sometimes it is just more tiring and hard work being a idiot than it is to take the safe route!

Not so much 'idiot on a ladder' but more 'idiot with a ladder' because while we did have to chuckle at this idea it is still very dangerous and still the work of a true idiot. If a heavy duty trade ladder like this one fell on a child it would be very serious indeed.   

Don't let children climb or play near your ladder even if you are nearby and have a light DIY one, it could still end in disaster.

This is another classic ladder fail image.  this poor person can't quite make it to the second story window to clean it, so he creates some sort of mad scenario using the garden gate! Then using the 8 tread to get onto the gate/ladder combo he really racks up the idiot points.

Wrong equipment for the job pure and simple. Bless him, you have to at least give him points for creativity!

We have seen this same sort of image a thousand times and it never fails to make us wonder what the person thought while making this "make shift" ladder. 

The very worst part about this image was that it was taken in Boston, USA ...(wait for it)....YESTERDAY!!! (Taken 11/06/2013) Yes this sort of thing happens each and every day. Apparently the stacked ladder was still too short for the job at hand! Crazy World out there, crazy World.

It is the classic use of access equipment as Lego! Need a cross point work platform? Then just place a multi-folding ladder across it, then a nearby extension ladder to access that!

This image reminds us of a Doctor Dolittle character called pushmi-pullyu "push-me—pull-you" because that is what the two men either side of the ladder would be doing to support the guy in the middle that is actually on the ladder! 

The worst part is that if the guy had a tall enough GRP step ladder, he could have done this job on his own and very much safer than what these 3 idiots are managing between them!

This is one of the very first ladder fail images known to the internet and is still one of the most idiotic and dangerous things ever caught on camera.  

This construction crew used 7 single section pole ladders, ( one of which was in fact climbed at an INVERTED angle!) ropes and some planks to get to the top of a clock tower that was 6 stories high!

It is the classic comedy image of idiots that didn't quite have a tall enough step ladder for the job at hand so decided to stack it onto 2 wooden tables for at extra lift!  

We have already said this loads of times and we will keep saying it until we reach the end of these crazy images: If the access equipment you are using is not tall enough for the job at hand then it is the WRONG access equipment!

Endless Staircase at London Design Festival 2013

Situated next to St. Paul's Cathedral, the Esher-esque Endless Staircase is sure to be a hit at this September's London Design Festival! According to +Londonist, the timber construction will allow for "an elevated view of the surrounding area and south toward Millennium Bridge."
